Delivery of Humanitarian Aid to Syrian Refugees Concludes

DAMASCUS, Syria.- About 50 000 people in Rubkan Camp, about 120 kilometers east of the Syrian capital, received humanitarian aid from the Syrian Arab Red Crescent.

A statement from the organization indicated that the distribution of food assistance, hygiene supplies and other necessities was executed with the collaboration of the popular committees in that camp of Syrian displaced persons.

The vaccination of nearly 10 000 children against polio, measles, hepatitis and tuberculosis also continues, by a team of more than 20 physicians and health personnel.

It also concluded the distribution of the humanitarian burden of 78 trucks, following a coordination of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent with the United Nations and the Government of Damascus.
