CARACAS, Venezuela.- The National Constituent Assembly called on the Venezuelan people to join the collective construction of the Chapter Woman, Equity and Gender Equality of the new Constitution to protect the rights of this sector.

The call was embodied in the constituent decree adopted by 545 popular legislators in ordinary session of that body.

The provision summons for public consultations to unite proposals contributing to complete the chapter on women in the new Magna Carta to guarantee their rights.

It also contains the declaration of October 25 as Day of Feminist Socialism and strategies for the defense of the achievements for the welfare of the Venezuelan women in the eighteen years of the Bolivarian Revolution.
