SOCHI, Russia.-The return of the territory occupied by the illegal US military base at Guantanamo was demanded by the young Cubans at the 19 World Festival of Youth and Students, in the Russian city of Sochi.

Alejandro Behmaras, from Havana, denounced that this military enclave continues functioning against the will of the people and the Government of Cuba, and explained that the treaties that gave life to the base are not valid anymore.

The Cuban people have been unequivocal in the firm claim that that territory be given back to us absolutely and the illegal base cease to operate, the young official from of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said .

Behmaras added the enclave has been the scene to violate the human rights of many people, a responsibility of the Government of the United States, what demonstrates the double standard of that country.
