Pretoria, South Africa.- Cuba”s Ambassador to South Africa, Rodolfo Benitez, makes an official visit to Free State province, during which he receives solidarity expressions with his country and the gratitude for the Cuban collaboration in that region

Sources from the Cuban diplomatic mission said that during his stay in Free State Benitez hold meetings with the Prime Minister, Sefora Sonia (Sisi) Ntombela, with the head of Education, Pule Gerbert Makgoe, and with representatives of the Trade Unions Congress (COSATU) and the Communist Party, organizations that make up the tripartite government alliance.

As indicated, in these meetings the authorities reiterated their support and solidarity with Cuba in their demands to end the economic, commercial and financial blockade that the United States maintains against the island, as well as in favor of the return of the territory illegally occupied by the U.S. military base in the eastern province of Guantanamo.

In these meetings, the South African bodies reiterated the importance of reactivating the movement of solidarity with Cuba when the aggressions against it intensify.
