UNITED NATIONS, New York.- Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel spoke this Thursday at the United Nations with Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, as part of his more than 20 bilateral meetings held in the context of the UN General Assembly.
The meeting was conducive to addressing relations between two countries, whose strong friendship at the level of peoples and Governments has a long history.
Diaz-Canel also held an exchange with the head of the UN General Assembly, Maria Fernanda Espinosa, on the firm commitment to multilateralism, Prensa Latina news agency highlights.
The first Latin American President of the largest organ of the United Nations, wrote on Twitter that it was a pleasure to welcome the Cuban President and his Chancellor Bruno Rodriguez; and explained they spoke about the importance of strengthening South-South cooperation, and the strong commitment to multilateralism
