Havana, Cuba.- Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez urged to protect Latin America from interference by the United States, after denouncing provocations against Venezuela that pursue military aggression against that nation.

Through his account on the social network Twitter, Rodríguez considered that such actions, adopted under the pretext of ‘humanitarian aid’, constitute an attack on the sovereignty of the region.

The day before, the head of Cuban diplomacy rejected the coup d’état in Venezuela and denounced that it is promoted by the Government of the United States.

It is known that the Venezuelan President, Nicolás Maduro, has permanently expressed his willingness to dialogue with his US counterpart Donald Trump, whose administration promotes and recognizes the coup attempts in the South American country.

With the support of Washington to the head of the National Assembly (in contempt), Juan Guaidó, who self-proclaimed interim president of Venezuela on January 23 last, serious danger threats the South American country, regional observers alert.

The Cuban Foreign Minister reaffirmed the energetic rejection of the largest of the Antilles to these interfering actions, and solidarity with the Venezuelan people and with Maduro, its legitimate president.
