HAVANA, Cuba.- The Cuban Government rejects the new measures that are running high the blockade against the island and were announced recently in Florida.

Carlos Fernandez de Cossio, director of the United States Directorate General of the Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs specifically referred to the announcement by John Bolton, U.S. National Security advisor, to expand the list of Cuban entities that Americans will not be able to make financial transactions with.

Fernandez de Cossio added at a press conference in Havana that this new imperialist maneuver aims to close more the circle against Cuba, by preventing new companies on the island to market with the American ones.

He also noted that Cubay repudiates the disrespectful, vulgar and libelous language Bolton used when referring to the Cuban Government.

Cuba Will Continue to Make More Revolution

The head of the Directorate General of the United States of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Carlos Fernandez de Cossio, told the press that Venezuela and Nicaragua have also been targets of new interventionist measures announced by the State Department.

The diplomat said the sanctions announced by John Bolton contrast with the absolute isolation suffered by imperialism at the UN, where his government was left alone before the international community, which gave great support to the Cuban resolution against the blockade.

It was a total diplomatic failure and an irrefutable victory of our people that before the new humbug of the American Administration, will continue with its revolutionary project, Fernandez de Cossio said.

The official reiterated Cuba’s invariable position expressed by the Cuban Chancellor at the UN to dialogue with the United States from equal to equal.
