Minsk, Belarus.- Alexander Shumilin, president of the State Committee of Science and Technology of Belarus and Cuban ambassador Gerardo Suarez Alvarez analyzed this Tuesday in Minsk the bilateral cooperation in the scientific field.

Shumilin announced the forthcoming development of a joint project between institutions in both countries on the use of microbial preparations for the protection against diseases in plant crops of economic importance.

This will be carried out in the context of the Protocol adopted at the first meeting of the Belarusian-Cuban Joint Commission for Cooperation in Science and Technology.

The meeting served as a context for updating the implementation of the Protocol signed last year in Havana. In addition, they analyzed the prospects for development of cooperation in the field of science, technology and innovation
