CARACAS, Venezuela. – Military personnel and the people of Venezuela prepare the 2017 Bolivarian Sovereignty exercise, to be held on August 26 and 27.

As part of the activities, it will begin tomorrow a process of citizen registration for the military registry throughout the national territory, Governor of Vargas state Jorge Garcia said in a press conference.

Garcia highlighted the relevance of the action culminating next Sunday, to know the amount of personnel Venezuela has in view of the defense of the country before a military intervention.

He asserted the registrants over the age of 30 will become part of the Bolivarian National Militia, while those under this age will go to the nation’s military reserve.
