HAVANA, Cuba. – Transat Airline of Canada made this Thursday the inaugural flight of the summer season towards Camaguey with more than 130 passengers that continued their travel to Santa Lucia Beach, in the north part of the province.

For the first time this airline opens a route from the city of Montreal and with a weekly frequency for the summer stage at the destination. A few years ago, they have suspended its linear operations.

According to Nivia Rodriguez, deputy delegate of the Cubanacan Hotel Group in Camaguey, the opening of this connection with Canada is a consequence of the priority and preference of the customers of the Northern country.

The purpose is to attract this market in the summer with special offers and a good quality of the service, as the Canadians represent 70% of the total of visitors.
