Evo Morales celebrates with his people another anniversary of Bolivia’s independence.

TRINIDAD, Bolivia.- Bolivian President Evo Morales called today on the people to unite and defend the freedom, dignity and sovereignty achieved as part of the Process of Change initiated in 2006 for the benefit of all nationals.

United by the love to the homeland and mobilized as a people who honor the memory of our heroes, we attend the events of homage to August 6 in Trinidad, Beni. Long live free Bolivia, dignified and sovereign, Morales highlighted on his Twitter account.

This August 6 is the Independence Day when commemorating the declaration of the act that ended Spanish rule in 1825 and proclaimed the Republic of Bolivia, granting the country its autonomy.

The central act for the 194th anniversary of independence took place in the city of Trinidad, belonging to the department of Beni.
