HAVMUN_2017Havana, Cuba.- The 22nd Havana Model United Nations (Havmun) begins today at the Main Lecture hall of the Havana University with an extensive program of keynote speeches and working sessions of several agencies of that international body.

This time, panels will be held by the Pan-American Health Organization, the United Nations Environment Program and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

The participants in this event will work in commissions until Friday, March 31st. They will analyze issues of the United Nations agenda such as food situation, economic and social development, environment and human rights.

Havmun’s website highlights the tradition of the event held since 1996 at the University of Havana, and the academic prestige achieved by its scientific quality that places it as a reference for countries such as Mexico, Argentina, Ecuador and Venezuela.
