Paramaribo, Suriname.- Cuba and Suriname have an excellent state in bilateral cooperation on public health, which could be expanded in the future, assured official sources today.

Yesterday, the Cuban Ambassador, Manuel Rubido, held a working meeting with the new Surinamese Minister of Public Health, Antoine Elias.

At the meeting, they reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral cooperation in the field of health.

Elias thanked Cuba for its solidarity with the national health sector and the contribution of doctors to the interior of the country, where they are in great need.

For his part, the Cuban ambassador wished him success in his work and made clear the commitment of the island to continue cooperation and expand it to face the needs and possibilities of both peoples.
