Diaz-Canel receives religious leaders
HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of the Republic of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, received on Monday afternoon Rudelmar Bueno de Faria and James Winkler, secretaries-general of the Joint Alliance of Churches and of the National Council of Churches of Christ of the United States.

Along with them, Brazilian theologian Frei Betto, Antonio Santana, president of the Council of Churches of Cuba, and Joel Ortega, its executive secretary, were also received.

In a cordial climate of respect they talked about issues related to the urgency of climate and gender justice, as well as the fight against religious, economic, social and political fundamentalisms, subjects addressed at the event held in the island.

Caridad Diego Bello, head of the Office of Attention to Religious Affairs of the Communist Party of Cuba also attended the dialogue.
