Diaz-Canel chairs debate on higher education in Cuba. HAVANA, Cuba.- The Cuban President, Miguel Diaz-Canel, heads this Monday in Havana the balance meeting of the Ministry of Higher Education, which addresses the priorities of the sector.

In the meeting, managers and experts discuss the results of 2018 and the projections and challenges for the current year in the university education.

The analyzed topics include undergraduate and postgraduate training, computerization, contribution of science, technology and innovation, links of universities to socio-economic development and relations with foreign institutions. .

In the last two months, Diaz-Canel has participated in meetings of this type in ministries and other entities of the central administration of the State; and he has insisted on efficiency, work thinking of the population and the fight against bureaucracy and illegality.
