HAVANA, Cuba.- The President of Cuba, Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez, assessed this Thursday the social and economic situation of Holguin, at the close of the government visit to that province.
Before members of the Council of Ministers and local leaders of the government and the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban dignitary called to unit to drive the development of the country.
At the conclusive meeting, Diaz-Canel analyzed the results of the tours carried out by Ministers, Vice-Ministers and government officials who reported about the areas visited by them.
The Minister of Agriculture, Gustavo Rodriguez, reported in the meeting that investments will be made in six areas of Holguin, to lessen the effects of drought.
For its part, the Minister of Economy and Planning, Alejandro Gil, highlighted the potential of the province for export and substitution of imports.
