SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.-From July 21 until the Thursday 27 it will take place in Santiago de Cuba the traditional carnival, the most popular cultural and recreational event of the people from this city.

More than 20 congas and parades representing neighborhoods and communities of the territory will participate in these celebrations, where a jury of prestigious artists and intellectuals select the winners for specialties on the final day of the festivity.

The Santiago Carnival will count on the expected performances of orchestras as Yumuri, Candido Fabre, Original of Manzanillo, Maravillas de Florida, Los Karachis, Los Rítmicos de Palma and Union Sanluisera, among others.

Traditional streets in Santiago de Cuba as Marti, Santa Ursula, and Cespedes Avenue are already decorated for the carnival, as well as dozens of places where popular night parties will take place.
