Holguín, Cuba. – A massive and enthusiastic welcome gave the residents in the Eastern city of Holguin to the participants in the Romerias de Mayo (May Pilgrimages), during the inaugural parade this Wednesday and the traditional ascent of the Aboriginal Axe to Loma de la Cruz.

Members of Hermanos Saiz Association, as well as artists and cultural promoters from 26 other countries, began the parade with a floral offering before the monument to Che, to whom the meeting is dedicated.

Dr. Aleida Guevara March will give the initial lecture of the Memoria Nuestra (Our Memory) Congress, which will award its homonymous prize among dozens of works registered in the contest, considered as the theoretical core of the festival.
