Buenos Aires, Argentina.-The book ”The Golden Age,” by Cuban National Hero Jose Marti, was one of the most sought after books by Argentinian readers that stopped by the stand from the island nation at the Buenos Aires literary fair.

The space of the Cuban Chamber of Book at the fair, which began on Monday, was visited by a great number of people.

According to a press release circulated by the Cuba’s embassy in Argentina, a collection about the life and work by the historic leader of the Cuban revolution, Fidel Castro Ruz, was almost sold out.

The book ‘Memories of the Revolutionary War,’ by Ernesto Che Guevara, and works by essential authors of the Cuban literature, as Jose Lezama Lima, Nicolas Guillen and Alejo Carpentier were among those preferred by readers at the fair.

Besides, the option of electronic books (e-books) and educational audio books stood out among the different choices produced by Cuba to combine educational didactics with the love of reading.

Cuban exhibitors Jose Alberto Negrin and Niurka de Armas held a meeting with Cuban ambassador to Buenos Aires Orestes Perez and Cultural Attache Yadira Alvarez, in which they gave details about the results of the Cuban participation in the event.

Besides, there was a night dedicated to Cuba during the fair, with a homage to the emblematic cultural institution Casa de las Americas and the Cuban Book Institute, founded 50 years ago by Fidel Castro, on April 27, 1967.
