Havana, Cuba.- The National Symphony Orchestra of Cuba and a dozen singers are performing a special concert in Havana to raise funds for those affected by the tornado that hit this capital on January 27.

Under the title ‘Canto a la Esperanza’ (Song for Hope) the show is taking place at the Avellaneda Hall of the National Theater.

Among the guests at the event are performers Annie Garces, Osdalgia Lesmes, Milagro de los Angeles Soto, Omara Portuondo, Barbara Llanes, Yohana Simon, Luscelsis Fernandez, Liuba Maria Hevia and Luna Manzanares.

This is the second concert held on the island after the devastating tornado with wind gusts of up to 400 kilometers per hour hit neighborhoods of 5 municipalities of the capital.

These are initiatives groups, bands, artists and Public agencies have carried out to contribute to the recovery of these areas.
