Washington, United States.- Afro-Cuban rhythms captivated the audience attending the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the US capital, during a concert last night of Cuban band Sintesis.

American and Latin people from several countries enjoyed the songs of a band that is considered a pioneer in the fusion of rock and Afro-Cuban rhythms.

The song ‘Asoyin,’ from the CD ‘Ancestros,’ was the first song Sintesis performed in that institution, which hold the successful festival ‘Artes de Cuba: From the Island to the World’ from May 8 to June 3, 2018.

In addition to the concert in Washington, Sintesis will give a lecture on October 4 at Harvard University, state of Massachusetts, on African heritage in Cuban culture and music.

The band’s agenda also includes a concert scheduled for October 5 at The Beehive jazz club in Boston.
