italia arte EttoreScolaHavana, Cuba.-The Italian Culture Week in Cuba is now paying tribute to the prestigious director Ettore Scola (1931-2016), with the premiere of his film ”The Dinner”.

The Fresa y Chocolate Cinematographic Cultural Center will host the screenings of Scola’s films The Terrace and The Family.

The Dinner tells the stories of several regular and sporadic clients of a restaurant: they, at the quiet dinner time, show themselves as they are, with their vices and virtues, their desires, disappointments and mood swings.

Likewise, the Week of Italian Culture will dedicate a space to the work of the writer Umberto Eco.

Yesterday the concert ‘Vivaldi y otras locuras’ officially opened the program of activities for this week, dedicated to Italy.

According to the Italian Ambassador to Cuba, Andrea Ferrari, bilateral relations are significantly making progress, especially in the art and literature sectors.

The Week of Italian Culture will take place in different centers and theaters of the Cuban capital until November 27th.
