Havana, Cuba.- Among Tuesday’s proposals of the International Book Fair is ”Cuba Digital”, a project aimed at making visible the development of new information and communication technologies in Havana.

Cuban entities such as DESOFT, the Youth Computing and Electronic Clubs, the University of Informatic Sciences (UCI), the Information Technology and Advanced Telematics Services Company (CITMATEL), the Cuban Book Institute, the Ministry of Telecommunications, Cuban Telecommunications Enterprise (ETECSA) and several publishers, conformed the initiative.

The stand, located in A-3 section of the Morro Cabaña military-historical park, has been the venue for several launchings of new titles as well as applications, games, audiovisuals, educational DVDs, audiobooks, among others.

One of the main proposals of the Youth Computing and Electronic Clubs was the launching of the portable version of EcuRed and Ecumobile, two products that allow access to the Cuban collaboration encyclopedia from different platforms and make the updating of its contents viable.

APK for Android devices, created by DESOFT company, the e-books of several educational centers, the interactive site of the Ministry of Justice and the online store, stand out among the offers of the International Book Fair.
