LA PAZ, Bolivia.- Bolivia’s President Evo Morales expressed his solidarity with the Venezuelan Government in the face of the U.S. military threat, and urged South America to unite and defend that nation.
“We express all our solidarity to Venezuela in the face of the military threat of the United States”, Morales said in the Walking with the people radio program, and stated that no intervention has solved economic, social or political problems.
Morales recalled US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson’s recent visit to five Latin American and Caribbean countries. “I imagine it was to convince some right-wing presidents to participate in a military intervention in Venezuela,” he said.
The Bolivian President said that for this year, the United States has a budget of 700 billion dollars for military interventions around the
world.
