The International Cruise Line Association reported that nearly twenty-six million travelers from all over the world would enjoy this year of excursions aboard cruise ships.

Such a figure exceeds the almost twenty-five million planned at the end of last year, and thirty-five percent raided the Caribbean destinations, a region including Cuba.

In the island, the ports and stopover points of cruises are Havana, Cienfuegos, Casilda, Punta Francesa, Maria La Gorda, and Santiago de Cuba. It is sought to increase the destinations and terminals to develop this important leisure modality, which yields large dividends in the Caribbean area.

Companies and travelers of this type of recreation consider Cuba as an attractive country, thanks to its natural resources, historical values, climate and cultural and patrimonial wealth.
