The Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC in Spanish) called this Thursday for the celebration of May 1st, a working-class holiday that will have a different nuance for the conditions the nation lives through from the confrontation of the new coronavirus.
This is the worker Congress we need right now to face the current situation, Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez said in Commission number 2 of the 21th Congress of the Workers’ Central Union of Cuba (CTC).
The trade union movement has a high responsibility to support the country’s recovery process, following the passage of Hurricane Irma, with measurable results that are concrete contributions to society and economy.
