Santa Clara, Cuba. – Hundreds of people participated this Wednesday in a march against Homophobia and Transphobia in the central province of Villa Clara. The parade occupied the streets surrounding Leoncio Vidal Park.
With Cuban flags and the multicolored one indicating diversity, young people, activists and foreign students who are trained in universities in that territory defended the concept of inclusion, as well as respect for gender identity.
During the march in Villa Clara as part of the 10th Campaign against Homophobia and Transphobia, Dr. Mariela Castro Espin, head of the National Center for Sexual Education, called to transmit those experiences at schools.
Ramon Silverio, director of El Mejunje Cultural Center, expressed his satisfaction for receiving the award from the Center and thanked the support provided to make of Santa Clara a diverse city.
