Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.- Artists, Cubans living in the Dominican Republic, solidarity members and diplomats accredited in this capital will pay tribute to the historic leader Fidel Castro with a gala on the first anniversary of his physical disappearance, organizers announced today.

The Juan Bosch room of the Pedro Henríquez Ureña National Library will be the headquarters of the tribute that will be held tomorrow night with a political-cultural program, organized by the Cuban embassy in this nation.

Among the activities scheduled to commemorate the date there will be laid a wreath on the 25th, at the headquarters of the Cuban diplomatic mission in the Caribbean country.

With these tributes, the Dominican Republic joins the commemorations throughout the world in honor of the figure and political ideology of Fidel Castro, one year after his death.
