Havana, Cuba.-The tourism group Cubanacan is celebrating 30 years of experience on Saturday with an increase in its operations and services, in a country that receives more than four million foreign visitors a year.

Founded on August 5, 1987, the group currently owns 90 hotels, most of which are run in conjunction with major international chains. Cubanacan receives about 40 percent of tourists visiting the country, according to official reports.

Cubanacan Vice-President Marisabel Gonzalez expressed satisfaction with the anniversary and the achievements made by the firm. Melia, Blau, Iberostar, Breezes and Blue Diamond are among the foreign companies working with the group.

She said that the company is celebrating its anniversary by growing in the main tourist destinatiosn of the country, materializing the multiplying effect of the travel industry in other sectors of the economy and generating jobs as one of its fundamental achievements.

She referred to the hotels that operate under the Brisas brand, located in some of the most emblematic beaches of the country and specialized in providing services to families.

She also mentioned the Horizontes brand, located in some of the most impressive natural landscapes in Cuba, such as the Viñales Valley or Cienaga de Zapata (Zapata Swamp), among other destinations.

Cubanacan also owns part of the E Hotels, which are housed in emblematic buildings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with an image of excellence, elegant (E).

Cubanacan’s executives are currently seeking to increase competitiveness and improve quality, as well as maintaining and improving their guests’ preferences.
