HAVANA, Cuba. – Letter exchange between Cuba and the United States through direct flights has been detained since last March, authorities of the sector reported in Havana.

According to Zoraya Bravo, first Vice-President of Correos de Cuba Business Group, the services of correspondence, parcels and postal packages between the two nations are maintained, but in a limited way, because to do so now it is necessary to resort to third countries.

The official explained this was the only possible way for correspondence before the resettlement of direct flights between Cuba and the United States in March 2016, so the current situation is a setback to the previous stage.

On the other hand, the first Vice-President of Correos de Cuba also referred to agreements of the island with other countries to carry out money orders.
