feriaHavana, Cuba.-The 34th edition of the Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2016) opens its doors today here with the presence of 4,500 exhibitors from 75 countries and representatives of fifty Chambers of Commerce.

In this edition the sample has as main novelty a forum of investments, that will be with the presentation of a new version of the portfolio of business of the Caribbean island, according to the organizers.

The organizers highlighted that the forum will constitute a space to the foreign businessmen to exchange directly with entrepreneurs of more than 15 sectors of the economy, included the Office of the Special Development Zone of Mariel, on projects covered in the portfolio and other new projects of interest.

Fihav 2016 includes this Monday, after its inauguration, the celebration of the day of Spain – traditionally the most represented – and of Russia and Japan, this last country that will occupy a pavilion for the first time.

Also, the release of the Chinese automotive company Yutong international, which will present eight models covering areas of urban public transport, interprovincial service and others well suited to the demand of the Cuban market.

The display of a completely electric, ecological bus, stands out, as a representative of the advanced technology by this Asian country Asian, which vehicles of the brand Yutong for the transportation of passengers are present in the island.

On this first day of Fihav 2016, among other activities, there will be a business conference between Cuba and Ethiopia, in the Executive Hall of the Central Pavillion in Expocuba, the venue of the event, in the capital.

Fihav, which takes place annually and is visited by more than 150 000 people, is the commercial most important commercial event of Cuba and the Caribbean and one of the largest in Latin America.

This time, it counts on 25,000 square metres of exhibition, higher than the previous editions, and in its Central Hall, 5,000 square meters where Cuban entrepreneurs presented their products and services, and enterprises will be represented by 355 exhibitors in all sectors of the country.

The Fair will be until November 4, comprises in addition business forums with Venezuela, Russia, Germany, and countries of the Caribbean, among others.
