SANTA CLARA, Cuba. – Miguel Diaz-Canel, First Vice-President of the Councils of State and Ministers, gave this Friday the flag to the Villa Clara baseball team.

In the ceremony at Leoncio Vidal Park, Diaz-Canel received the banner from Ariel Borrero, Ramon More and Ariel Pestano, famous athletes retired of active baseball, and deliver it to Vladimir Hernandez, current director of the Orange team.

Pitcher Pablo Guillen, on behalf of the group read the oath of the players, who commit themselves to be worthy followers of the example of the heroes and martyrs of the homeland.

After the ceremony, Diaz-Canel visited the newly completed building of the Central Hotel, and also toured the remodeling of We Are Young recreational and gastronomic complex, where he interested in the progress of this work.
