Asuncion, Paraguay.- Cuban Council of State Vice President and Comptroller General of the Republic, Gladys Bejerano, has arrived in this capital to participate as of today in an international meeting organized by Paraguay.

Bejerano will attend the 27th Annual Meeting of the General Assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS).

The event is officially opened today and it will hold sessions on October 4-5.

The issues around which the technical work of this assembly will be developed will be ‘The Use of ‘Big Data Analysis’ in the Audit Function and Performance Auditing in the Assessment of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

According to organizers, the event will be an excellent opportunity to address these issues, assess the progress made by the control community at regional and global levels, and determine future actions to be followed.

Several debates on social interest, such as Human Rights and External Control, Experts’ Panel on Performance Audit in the Assessment of the SDGs, Inequality and Corruption, and Public Governance and Public Sector Integrity, are also included on the list.
