HOLGUIN, Cuba.- About three thousand patients benefited in Holguín for a decade by the use of Heberprot P, the only drug registered in the world for the treatment of diabetic foot.

After the application of the product in all the municipalities of Holguin province, the amputations to diabetic patients with foot ulcers were reduced 17 percent in the last ten years.

The northeastern territory has a population surpassing one million inhabitants and registers some ninety thousand people diagnosed with diabetes mellitus, which are exposed to suffer ulcerations required of effective podiatric treatments.
