HAVANA, Cuba. – With the promise of becoming a new attraction for national and international tourism, because it includes sport, entertainment and fun, the first Cable Cuban Ski was recently inaugurated, Granma newspaper reports.

With 5 towers, 7 points of attachment, capacity to cater 110 skiers daily and an area of more than 7000 square meters, the water ski track of traction cable in Jardines del Rey should contribute to the diversification of the Cuban tourist product.

Technically, the Cable Ski makes it possible to learn and practice water ski modalities at a constant speed, in a track covering a distance up to 530 meters.

The traction is done with a cable moving horizontally up to 10 meters above sea level, without having to stop when skiers enter or leave.
