CIENFUEGOS, Cuba.- The Historical Naval Museum, former South Naval District, located in Cayo Loco, is submitted to a general reconstruction to commemorate the anniversary 60 of the armed uprising of Cienfuegos, against Fulgencio Batista´s tyranny in 1957.

In that place, the Navy headquarters, began the popular armed uprising of September 5 six decades ago, starred by youth of the July 26 Movement and military sympathizers of the fight against Batista dictatorship.

The building turned into the historical Naval Museum and declared a National Monument will have very interesting attractions once the work of recovery has been completed.
