SANTIAGO DE CUBA, Cuba.- The Charlottetown frigate of the Royal Navy of Canada arrived in an official and friendly visit to the port of Santiago de Cuba, where the crew will complete a program of visits to places of social and historical interest.

The welcome ceremony was attended by Captain Isidro Montero, Chief of the Revolutionary Army Navy of the Eastern Army, Colonel Ricardo Rodriguez, Chief of Staff of the Military Region, as well as His Excellency Mr. Patrick Parisot, Ambassador of Canada in Cuba.

In the reception, the Commander of the ship, Nathan Decicco, expressed on behalf of his 200 crew that the visit strengths friendship between the Canadian Navy and the Revolutionary Armed Forces.

He added that officers and crew are very happy to meet that beautiful city for the first time, a fact that will become memorable.
