LA PAZ, Bolivia. – The President of Bolivia, Evo Morales, saluted the 57th anniversary of the proclamation of the Socialist Character of the Cuban Revolution by Fidel Castro Ruz in 1961.
Morales, in his Twitter official account, recalled that a day like today brother Fidel proclaimed the socialist character of the Revolution, during the burial of the victims of the bombings occurred the previous day in various parts of Cuba.
The Bolivian President recalled that three days after that proclamation, in Playa Giron, the Cuban people inflicted the first defeat to imperialism, giving the world an example of dignity.
Fidel Castro Ruz said that day: “Fellow workers and peasants: this is the socialist and democratic Revolution of the humble, with the humble and for the humble.”
