NICARAGUA-SUKARNEManagua, Nicaragua.-The Mexican meet processing company SuKarne, leader to this sector in Central America, is currently exploring, from Nicaragua, opportunities for business with Cuba, source from the Cuban embassy in this country confirmed today.

In statements to the news agency Prensa Latina, Cuban Ambassador to Nicaragua Juan Carlos Hernandez reported that he had visited the compnay’s meet processing plant in the municipality of Villa El Carmen, in the department of Managua.

Hernandez explained that this visit was paid prior to the current visit to Cuba by a delegation from SuKarne, led by the director for Central America, Carlos Gallardo, with the objective of analyzing business opportunities.

That possibility emerged from the benefits offered by the Partial-Reach Agreement between Nicaragua and Cuba.

The Cuban diplomat said he had paid attention to a detailed explanation about the plant operations and that he had the chance to see the process in real time on the spot.

SuKarne is acknowledged as leader in meet production in the region, with more than 18 years of working experience in Nicaragua, contributing positive results to the stock-breeding industry in the country and to the growth of the Gross Domestic Product.
