embarazadaHavana, cuba.- The 16th National Congress of the Cuban Society of Gynecology and Obstetrics (SCOG) will be held with a high international participation, said Dr. Jorge Pelaez, vice president of the society.

In that regard, Pelaez also announced the first meeting between SCOG and specialists of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) during the 16th congress, which will be hosted by the Havana Conference Center from October 4th to 7th.

Pelaez told the media at a press conference that ACOG delegation, recognized worldwide, will be led by its current president Thomas Gellhaus, as well as its outgoing president.

He also highlighted the participation of the American Society of Perinatology and a Spanish delegation headed by Vice-chancellor of the University of Barcelona.

Pelaez said that along with the major US and Spanish participation, delegates and speakers from Germany, Portugal Australia, Vietnam and nearly all Latin American countries will participate in the congress.
