Moscow, Russia.-Sergei Mironov, chairman of the party A Just Russia, received here the leader of the International Relations Department of the Cuban Communist Party (PCC), Juan Carlos Marsan, diplomatic sources said on Sunday.

During the cordial meeting, both leaders spoke about issues of common interest, including the strengthening and expanding party ties.

The Cuban official thanked A Just Russia for its support for the resolutions adopted in the State Duma (Russian lower house) to condemn the U.S. blockade on Cuba, and urged to continue those efforts.

The Cuban Communist Party’s general coordinator of the International Relations Department also met with the secretary of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) and head of International Relations, Leonid Kalashnikov.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the excellent state of relations between the two parties and exchanged viewpoints on the current situation in both countries.

The Cuban visitor thanked the CPRF for the presentation of resolutions at the Duma against the U.S. blockade of Cuba and the statements made by its leaders to Russian media in favor of the historic legacy of Fidel Castro and the Cuban Revolution.
