The Chancellor of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez.

UNITED NATIONS, New York. – The Chancellor of Cuba, Bruno Rodriguez, and the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Miroslav Lajcak, talked this Thursday in the context of the high-level debate of the organization.

According to the Assembly´s Spokesman Office, during the meeting Lajcak presented his condolences to the Government and the Cuban people for the human losses and damage caused by Hurricane Irma.

Both officials discussed the role of the UN in the light of the current challenges of humanity and the threats it faces, as well as issues related to Latin America and the Caribbean.

Tomorrow, the Cuban Chancellor will speak in the debate of the UN General Assembly, where it is expected he will denounce the continuity of the blockade imposed by USA on Cuba for more than 55 years.
