Paris World Tourism Fair

HAVANA, Cuba.- Janet Ayala, communication director of the Ministry of Tourism, declared that Cuba is promoted as a multi-product at the Paris World Tourism Fair, inaugurated in France.

The official emphasized that a large delegation of hoteliers and main recipients attend the current edition, to promote Cuba destiny as a multiproduct in itself, with great possibilities of satisfying the interests of visitors.

Ayala added that in Cuba you can enjoy beaches and a wonderful sunshine, but very close to the facility there can be a valuable asset, a cultural attraction or an interesting health center.

The communication director of the Ministry of Tourism said that although French tourism to Cuba marked record last year, there are many potentials that can be exploited and the 200 thousand French visitors can be exceeded.

The International Tourism Fair takes place in Paris until Sunday with the presence of the Cuban Ambassador in France and representatives of the Ministry of Tourism, travel agencies, hotel chains and associated companies.

The French market is very important for Cuban tourism, since last year it recorded a 12% growth in its passenger issue, and projected a greater positioning in the European nation.

In this sense they work to diversify modalities such as diving, nautical, nature, tours, circuits, heritage cities, events and incentives, and cultural and health tourism.

In the Parisian fair, the International Tourism Fair of Cuba will be called. It will be held from May 2 to 6 in the north cays of Villa Clara, dedicated to the product of sun and beach, and with the United Kingdom as guest country of honor.
