Havana, Cuba.- Cuba and Bolivia are working to raise the exchange of goods and services in the short term, stated Ileana Núñez, the first deputy minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (Mincex) in Cuba.

Speaking to Prensa Latina, he explained that the issue was addressed in recent days during the first meeting of the working group composed of both countries in favor of economic complementarity.

Based in La Paz, the meeting was headed by the Bolivian foreign minister, Fernando Huanacuni, and the first vice minister of Mincex, in order to channel the purposes defined by the two states.

To increase transactions, ‘we work on the preparation of financial channels that allow us to make and receive payments in both directions,’ Núñez responded.

We also emphasize, he added, in the review of logistical aspects to facilitate the exchange of goods and in the evaluation of possible compensation mechanisms.
