Havana, Cuba.- The Ministry of Tourism (Mintur) of Cuba announced today that a local delegation is attending the 25th edition of the MITT 2018 fair that will open today March 13 to 15 in Moscow.
The group not only will be integrated by the vice presidents and commercial directors of the main Cuban hotel chains (Gran Caribe, Cubanacan Hotels, Islazul) and the Travel Agencies of Cubatur, Cubanacan Viajes and Ecotur tourist sector, but also by representatives of their partners Meliá International, Iberostar, Blue Diamond and Resorts, Roc Hotels, Sercotel Hotels, Accor Hotels, among others.
Russia is a crucial market for Cuban tourism, as in 2017, some 105,946 Russian visitors arrived in the country, a record figure that placed it in the tenth place of the emission markets to this destination.
In the course of 2018 the Russian market continues its growth, moving to occupy the position number eight.
Cuba at the MITT will show its renewed tourist product of sun and beach, with a hotel plant improved and adapted to the demands of international levels.
The island delegation will also exhibit nautical, nature, cultural and health tourism products of high demand by the Russian market.
Cuban presence at the MITT at the Expocentre, will be at a stand of 100 square meters, located in Pavilion One, number A303, with a modern design that shows Cuban traditions and national identity, insists the statement.
