BRAZILIA, Brazil.- The ignorance of President-elect Jair Bolsonaro on Cuba and its humanitarian policy of medical cooperation can bring Brazil today to a health catastrophe.

Thiago Henrique Silva, a teacher in Public Health, said so addressing the non-participation of Cuban professionals in Brazil’s More Doctors Program, due to the offensive statements by Bolsonaro that now provoke the neglect of 30 million of his countrymen.

The member of the National Network of Popular Doctors remarked that Cuba has agreements in the area of health with more than 60 countries, and Brazil is the only one to create obstacles and suffer with that exit. We’re going to have in fact a sanitary catastrophe, Silva said.

He said the nations are looking for this partnership with the Cuban medical services company because they need an extra workforce, because the internal one does is not enough to care for people.
