narracion festivalHavana, Cuba.-The 9th International Festival of Storytelling, March 20th to 26th, will be attended by storytellers from 12 countries, said today the organizing committee of the event.

According to president of the organizing committee Mayra Navarro, the delegation with highest amount of participants is Mexico, with 9 storytellers, followed by countries as Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Panama, Peru, Spain, Poland, Chile and for the first time Kenya and Martinique.

More than 70 Cuban storytellers will participate and the main venues of the event will be the Lecuona Hall at Gran Teatro de La Habana Alicia Alonso, the theater-hall Bertolt Brecht, the cultural center Casa Gaia and the theater-museum El Arca, as well as other public sites in the capital city.

Mayra Navarro also highlighted the importance of the storytelling in times so plunged into technology.
