SOCHI, Russia.-The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Gennady Zyuganov, gave Aleida Guevara, Che´s daughter the medal for the Centenary of the Great Socialist Revolution of October and also gave her a book about her father.

In a panel at the 19th Worldwide Festival of Youth and Students, the leader said Fidel and Che continued Lenin´s cause, and did everything for the liberation of mankind.

On behalf of his party and the democratic and popular forces, Zyuganov congratulated the participants in the festival and called them to continue fighting for world peace, against imperialism and fascism that threaten our peoples.

Gennady Zyuganov remarked that youth cohesion is needed to combat that evil, and highlighted the significance of the socialist revolution of October in the year of its centenary.
