Havana, Cuba.- The internationalization of the curriculum and the pedagogical models will be issues to debate today during the third day of the International Congress of Higher Education, Universidad 2018, taking place in this capital.

The curriculum design, the challenges and perspectives of developing countries in this level of education and socio-constructive thinking will also be analyzed by the participants in the event, to be run until tomorrow at the Conference Center in Havana.

Among other activities, Cuba and Syria signed yesterday a collaboration agreement in the higher education sector, to promote the exchange of experiences in the field of medicine, pharmaceutical sciences and other academic areas.

Syria’s Higher Education Minister, Atef Naddaf, stated that about 10 scholarships are available for young Cubans who want to study Arabic language in that nation.

The rector of the University of Havana, Gustavo Cobreiro, confirmed that the institution will always have open doors for academic exchange and deepen relations between the peoples of Cuba and the United States.

In this context, the Venezuelan Minister of University Education, Science and Technology, Hugbel Roa, denounced a possible military intervention by the United States against his country.
