The winners thanked the award and said the best way to give back the homage is to continue making good radio, to continue loving the work they do.

The Ideological Department of the Party and the National Union of Culture Workers gave recognitions to the Cuban Radio for its anniversary 95.
The ceremony was held in the Minor Basilica of the Convent of San Francis of Assisi, in Havana, and the public enjoyed the musical accompaniment by Julio Cesar Diaz, Elisa Lizama Hernandez and Jonathan Santana Garcia.

The Future of Cuban Radio

In the delivery of the 2017 National Radio Awards, Professor Arnaldo Coro referred to the importance of mastering the new technologies of communication, only in this way the radio man can be created, able to adapt to the listeners´ needs.

We have to attract the young people, Coro said, because they are the ones who will defend the radio of the future, and it is up to those more experienced to transmit the radiophonic knowledge acquired with the passage of time.

Fabio Manuel Bosch recommended to those who initiate the path of radio,
To love its world, to defend what they do and doing it well, with the heart, and above all, to achieve credibility, that the audience feels it is authentic, real and close to Cubans.”

“The greatest meaning this prize can have is to continue, because when you choose this path, you do it for life, as it is the prize, for life.”

Guillermo Vilar confessed that not only with talent you win prizes, what is better is not to think about oneself, but in others, in all that our work can mean.
